The Canandaigua City Council was forced to postpone its scheduled meeting Monday evening due to a lack of quorum, delaying any official business until later in the week.
Officials cited illnesses and medical reasons as the cause, which left the body short of the six members required to hold an official session. After a brief discussion among present members, the council agreed to reconvene on Wednesday, with assurances that enough members would be physically present.
“I’m sorry, folks, for everyone who showed up that we can’t meet today,” Canandaigua City Manager John Goodwin said before concluding the session.
No formal decisions or discussions took place, and the meeting was adjourned without action.
The next session is scheduled for Wednesday, where council members are expected to address any pending agenda items.
