Firefighters from multiple departments responded to a vehicle fire Sunday along Route 34B near the Scipio-Venice town line in Cayuga County.
According to Cayuga/Seneca Fire Wire, the fire involved a man lift and an enclosed trailer. Crews from Poplar Ridge, Scipio, and Long Hill Fire Departments were dispatched to the scene.
First responders arrived first and took command of the incident, with additional resources responding shortly after. Additional resources from Long Hill were also deployed.
Once on scene, crews worked quickly to contain the blaze. The fire was extinguished, and an overhaul operation was conducted to ensure no remaining hotspots.
No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
