A Seneca Falls woman was taken into custody on Wednesday following allegations that she stole merchandise from a local Walmart despite being banned from the store, according to police.
Brandy Elliott, 32, was arrested at 5:20 p.m. by the Seneca Falls Police Department on an outstanding warrant. Authorities say the charges stem from an incident in which Elliott was observed collecting multiple items from the Walmart supercenter at 1860 North Road and leaving without paying.
Police further stated that Elliott had been legally prohibited from entering the store due to a prior trespass notice but disregarded the restriction. As a result, she has been charged with burglary in the third degree, petit larceny, and trespass.
Elliott was taken to the Seneca County Jail, where she will await arraignment.
