Newark teen charged with stalking, menacing, and unlawful imprisonment

An 18-year-old Newark man has been arrested following a January altercation at a local business that escalated into a series of alleged offenses, according to the Seneca Falls Police Department.

On Tuesday at 2:14 p.m., officers took Yusef F. Alsaidi into custody on an arrest warrant stemming from the incident. Investigators determined that during the confrontation, Alsaidi grabbed the victim, preventing them from leaving. He then followed the victim to their home.

Alsaidi has been charged with four misdemeanors: first-degree harassment, fourth-degree stalking, third-degree menacing, and second-degree unlawful imprisonment.

After being processed, Alsaidi was taken to the Seneca County Jail, where he is awaiting arraignment.
