A Delta Connection flight crash-landed and flipped upside-down Monday afternoon at Toronto Pearson International Airport. The plane, operated by Endeavor Air, had recently flown between Ithaca and JFK, as well as other U.S. cities. Delta confirmed no fatalities among the 76 passengers and four crew members, though 18 people were hospitalized.
The aircraft, identified as N932XJ, had been actively used on various routes, including Detroit, Indianapolis, and Pittsburgh. It had also visited Ithaca multiple times in recent months. Delta launched its Ithaca-JFK service two years ago after discontinuing flights to Detroit.
Toronto Pearson resumed operations three hours after the crash, but Delta canceled the remainder of its Toronto flights for the evening. Endeavor Air, Delta’s subsidiary, is based in Minneapolis, where the flight originated.
