A routine traffic stop in Auburn led to prison time for a Syracuse man.
Paul B. Bovee, 37, was sentenced to five years in state prison, plus 1.5 years of supervision, after police found over an ounce of cocaine in his backpack during a May stop.
Bovee, a passenger in the vehicle, pleaded guilty in December, reducing a Class B felony charge to a Class C felony. His sentence will run consecutively to one he is already serving and also satisfies additional charges, including tampering with evidence and false personation.
