Nature enthusiasts and bird lovers are invited to explore the winter landscape of Seneca County during a guided bird walk at the Seneca Meadows Wetland Preserve. The event, organized by the Seneca Meadows Education Center and the Montezuma Audubon Center, will take place on Friday, February 21, at 10:00 a.m.
The free event welcomes individuals, families, and groups of all ages to learn about local bird species and their strategies for surviving the winter months. While there is no cost to attend, registration is required due to limited space. Interested participants can sign up online here.
Located at 1712 Black Brook Road, the Seneca Meadows Wetland Preserve is home to a diverse range of bird species, making it an ideal location for wildlife observation. The walk will offer participants the chance to see and hear birds in their natural habitat while learning from experienced guides.
The event is part of the ongoing conservation and educational efforts led by the National Audubon Society, which works to protect birds and their habitats across the Americas. Since its founding in 1905, Audubon has engaged communities through advocacy, education, and conservation programs.
