The Town of East Bloomfield Board will meet tonight at 7:00 p.m. at 99 Main Street with an agenda that includes two key public hearings. Residents and stakeholders are encouraged to attend and share their input on crucial community matters.
The first hearing will address the proposed removal of an unsafe structure. The Board will consider authorizing a formal condemnation and removal procedure under Resolution 2025-018. Public safety concerns and property upkeep are expected to be central to the discussion.
The second public hearing will focus on a proposed increase in property tax exemptions for military veterans, outlined in Resolution 2025-020. If approved, this move could provide greater financial relief to local veterans in recognition of their service.
Beyond the hearings, routine reports from various town departments and committees are scheduled. Notable items include updates from the Town Clerk, Code Enforcement Officer, and Assessor. Additionally, the Highway Superintendent’s office has no report submitted for this session.
The meeting will also involve committee updates, including discussions on parks and recreation projects and infrastructure needs. A resolution (2025-019) on authorizing the use of funds from the town’s Highway Reserve will be reviewed, highlighting ongoing priorities for road and facility maintenance.
Supervisor Fred Wille will lead the session, which concludes with the payment of bills and budget transfers.
Anyone attending is welcome to record the meeting and is asked to notify the Board beforehand.
