A Florida man was arrested on January 29 in connection with a larceny complaint at a local business.
Jeffrey B. Cruz, 31, of Kissimmee, Florida, was taken into custody by Penn Yan police at 11:17 p.m. after staff reported seeing him on surveillance footage stealing items. Officers located Cruz at a nearby hotel, where he reportedly admitted to the theft.
Cruz was processed at the Penn Yan Police Department and released on an appearance ticket. He is scheduled to appear in Penn Yan Village Court to address the charge of petit larceny.
