A traffic stop in Canandaigua early Monday morning led to the arrest of a Penn Yan man on multiple drug possession charges, according to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies say Rodney N. Christensen, 38, of Liberty Street, was stopped at 2:20 a.m. on State Route 332. During the investigation, authorities discovered a large quantity of controlled substances in the vehicle.
Christensen was taken into custody and charged with two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, one count of fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, and one count of fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell.
Christensen was transported to the Ontario County Jail, arraigned on the charges, and released on his own recognizance. He is scheduled to appear in the Town of Canandaigua Court at a later date.
