A Caledonia man was arrested for driving while intoxicated following a traffic stop in the Town of Varick on Sunday evening, according to Seneca County Sheriff Tim Thompson.
Ethan J. Rider, 22, of Main Street, was stopped by deputies on State Route 96A around 5 p.m. after he was allegedly observed speeding. Following an investigation and field sobriety tests, Rider was charged with DWI and DWI with a BAC of .08 or higher.
Rider was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Varick Town Court on February 26 to answer the charges.
