Doris Wolf was named Seneca County’s 2024 Outstanding Senior Citizen of the Year by the Office for the Aging and Senior Center during their annual Volunteer Recognition Luncheon.
Wolf, a longtime journalist, was celebrated for her lifetime of service and philanthropy, including leadership roles on over 20 boards and initiatives supporting local organizations and community projects.
Her contributions include co-founding the Trevor’s Gift Backpack Program, assisting disaster relief efforts, promoting literacy, and preserving local history through books and public art.
Recognized with numerous awards, Wolf is also nominated for the 2025 Governor’s Exemplary Service Award, securing her a place in the state’s annual Older New Yorker’s Day celebration.
