Seven New York colleges were featured in TIME’s “Best Colleges for Future Leaders 2025” list, which ranked 125 U.S. schools excelling at producing influential leaders.
Columbia University (#6) and New York University (#8) were top-ranked, joined by Cornell (#14), Syracuse (#47), CUNY (#52), University of Rochester (#83), and Binghamton University (#99).
The rankings analyzed resumes of 4,000 U.S. leaders, focusing on roles that shaped their careers. Harvard, Stanford, and Yale topped the overall list, with MIT and Columbia rounding out the top five.
The report highlights institutions that effectively nurture leadership across various industries.
