A Syracuse man is headed to prison for his role in stealing a Maserati, which was found in Auburn last summer.
Edward J. McKinnon, 41, of Syracuse, has been sentenced to two to four years in prison for his involvement in possessing a stolen $120,000 Maserati. The plea deal, accepted Thursday in Cayuga County Court, reduced his charge from a higher felony that carried up to 15 years.
McKinnon was one of three men found with the vehicle in Auburn in June, located using tracking technology. A co-defendant, Jamel Felton, was sentenced last week to 3.5 to seven years, while a third suspect’s case is ongoing.
