Just hours after the New York Jets formally requested an interview with Buffalo Bills offensive coordinator Joe Brady for their head coaching vacancy, the New Orleans Saints made a similar request, according to Dianna Russini of The Athletic.
Brady took over as the Bills’ offensive coordinator last season after Ken Dorsey’s dismissal. Under his guidance, Buffalo’s offense became one of the league’s most dynamic, ranking 10th in total yards per game (359.1) and second in points per game (30.9).
During his media availability on Monday, Brady addressed the interview requests, stating:
“There really doesn’t need to be much of a balance. My focus is strictly on trying to win a Super Bowl with this team. If any interviews happen, they would be next week.”
While Brady acknowledged his aspiration to become a head coach under the right circumstances, he emphasized that his immediate priority is finding a way to win this week.
