The Newfield Fire Company has unveiled its new Freightliner Pumper Tanker, a significant upgrade aimed at improving emergency response capabilities. Delivered through a partnership with Firehouse Apparatus, Inc. and Spencer Manufacturing, Inc., the tanker boasts a 3,000-gallon water capacity and a 1,500-gallon-per-minute pump.
Equipped with essential tools like air packs, hoses, and portable pumps, the new truck replaces a 1997 International Pumper Tanker, which served the community for decades. The updated apparatus ensures the department is better prepared for large-scale emergencies.
Officials also expressed gratitude to Brush Mark Signs for their detailed vinyl work on the truck, highlighting community collaboration in the project.
