Destiny USA reopens after terror threat investigation: Who’s been arrested?

  • Staff Report

Destiny USA temporarily closed after police investigated a credible threat made by 50-year-old Darrell Anderson Navedo, who allegedly planned violence at the mall.

Authorities say Navedo threatened to attack with explosives and firearms, even showing weapons on camera. Police quickly identified and arrested him without incident, charging him with making a terroristic threat.

The mall reopened after officials ensured there was no active danger. Syracuse Police emphasized public safety was prioritized over profit during the coordinated response.
