The Dryden Town Board approved its $13.58 million budget for 2025, featuring a 4% tax levy increase totaling $394,219. This marks a decrease from the 9.5% rise seen in the 2024 budget.
Finance Director Amanda Anderson attributed the spending hike to rising employee benefits, a shift of one employee to full-time status, and increased sewer plant repair costs. Despite these increases, no departmental cuts were required.
Anderson praised the collaborative budget process, noting productive discussions with department heads and careful consideration of funding priorities. Full budget details are available on the town’s finance page.
