Syracuse closed out the 2024 season in style, picking up a 52-35 victory over Washington State in the DirecTV Holiday Bowl on Friday night at Snapdragon Stadium in San Diego.

Kyle McCord delivered another stellar performance for the Orange (10-3), throwing for 453 yards and five touchdowns. He set a Syracuse bowl game record for touchdown passes and now holds the ACC single-season passing yards record (4,779).

Trebor Pena and Oronde Gadsden II each hauled in two touchdowns from McCord. LeQuint Allen Jr. found the end zone three times, including two on the ground while picking up 120 yards, reaching the 1,000-yard mark for the season. Darrell Gill Jr. led the team with 145 yards on four catches.

The Orange offense exploded for 606 total yards, with 453 through the air and 154 on the ground, averaging over 10 yards per play.

Under first-year head coach Fran Brown, Syracuse secured its first double-digit win season in six years, a milestone achieved only twice this century.
