A Farmington man was arrested on several charges following an investigation into a complaint on Christmas Eve that revealed multiple offenses, including driving while intoxicated.

Miles J. Martin, 36, was taken into custody by Ontario County Sheriff’s Deputies on December 24 at 9:53 a.m. at his residence on Brownsville Road.

Martin was charged with Criminal Mischief in the Second Degree, Driving While Intoxicated (DWI), Aggravated Unlicensed Operation (AUO) in the First Degree, Obstruction of Governmental Administration in the Second Degree, and Resisting Arrest.

Authorities determined Martin had driven intoxicated on Brownsville Road, caused over $1,500 in damage to a victim’s vehicle, and resisted arrest during law enforcement’s efforts to take him into custody.

Following the arrest, Martin was transported to the Ontario County Jail, where he awaits arraignment.
