A drug surveillance operation in Seneca Falls ended in two arrests on April 25, as police intercepted a suspected narcotics transaction involving children at the scene.
Neil T. McMillen, 46, and Cody A. Chase, 32, were taken into custody following a targeted enforcement action by the Town of Seneca Falls Criminal Investigation Division.
Investigators charged McMillen with two counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance in the third degree, both classified as class B felonies. He also faces two counts of endangering the welfare of a child and one count of criminal possession of drug paraphernalia in the second degree.
Chase was charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child and one count of attempted criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Authorities said both individuals were processed and transported to the Seneca County Correctional Facility, where they remain pending arraignment.
The operation was part of an ongoing initiative by the Seneca Falls Police Department to curb the spread of illegal drugs in the community. The presence of children during the alleged transaction has intensified concern around the risks posed by such activities.
The investigation is still active, and police said additional charges may be filed.
