One hospitalized in two-vehicle crash at Palmyra intersection

A two-vehicle collision in the Town of Palmyra on December 21 resulted in one person being transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.

The crash occurred at the intersection of Newark Marion Road and Lyon Road when a southbound UPS truck allegedly failed to yield to eastbound traffic, leading to the collision.


The injured driver was transported to Newark Wayne Hospital by Finger Lakes Ambulance. Deputies were assisted at the scene by the Palmyra Fire Department, Finger Lakes Ambulance, and Union Street Automotive.

The investigation into the crash remains ongoing.
