A Wayne County woman has been charged with petit larceny after allegedly stealing from a Dollar General store in Marion.
Melissa R. Helker, 43, of Vienna Road, was arrested on December 11 following an investigation, the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reported. Deputies said store staff observed Helker placing items in her purse and leaving the store without paying.
Helker was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Marion Town Court at a later date.
