A Marion man was arrested Sunday after deputies said he struck his wife and put his hand on her throat, leaving bruising in front of two children.
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office identified him as Coty Vancuyck, 31, of Chaintree Drive.
The domestic incident occurred at 5:50 p.m. on Chaintree Drive in Marion, according to the sheriff’s office.
Deputies said Vancuyck also damaged $1,150 worth of property during the incident.
He was charged with third-degree assault, two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, third-degree criminal mischief and second-degree criminal contempt.
Vancuyck was taken to the Wayne County Jail for an arraignment scheduled for 7 a.m. Monday.
