A head-on collision between an SUV and a New York State DOT plow truck in the Town of Arcadia Saturday evening sent one man to the hospital, according to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies say David Brandt, 70, was driving on State Route 31 around 7:34 p.m. when his vehicle left its lane and crossed into oncoming traffic, striking the plow truck head-on.
Brandt was transported by ambulance to Strong Memorial Hospital for evaluation. The driver of the plow truck was unharmed and did not require medical attention.
The crash is still under investigation. Deputies were assisted at the scene by Wayne County Ambulance, Marbletown Fire Department, and Newark Ambulance.
