A Clifton Springs woman was arrested for DWI Friday evening after she drove through a road blockade set up for a local festival. The incident occurred around 6:44 p.m. on December 6 at the intersection of Main Street and Kendall Street in the village of Clifton Springs.
According to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, 64-year-old Susan Mae Green of 44 East Main Street was stopped after she entered the blocked-off area near the festival on West Main Street.
Deputies were able to halt Green’s vehicle before she reached any pedestrians, preventing potential injuries.
Upon investigation, deputies determined that Green was operating her vehicle while intoxicated. She was arrested at the scene, issued traffic tickets, and later released.
Green is scheduled to appear in Clifton Springs Village Court at a future date to answer the DWI charge.
