Ithaca man indicted for murder in wife’s death

An Ithaca man has been charged with second-degree murder in connection with his wife’s death.

Ahmed Abed, 43, is accused of killing Alaa Husein Jeena Abedi in their home on November 11, according to the Tompkins County District Attorney.

A grand jury indicted Abed, who is being held without bail at the Tompkins County Jail.

If convicted, he faces a sentence of 25 years to life in prison.
