Palmyra woman had BAC 4x the legal limit after rollover crash

A Palmyra woman faces multiple charges after a rollover crash in Macedon revealed a blood alcohol level of .32%, according to the Macedon Police Department. Cynthia A. Derrick, 52, was involved in the November 8 incident on Macedon Center Road, where her vehicle struck a utility pole and overturned.

Officers found Derrick under the influence, with open alcohol containers in her vehicle, and discovered her license was suspended due to a lack of insurance. She was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital, where lab results confirmed her high BAC.

Derrick was arrested on November 29 and charged with DWI, aggravated DWI, aggravated unlicensed operation, and related offenses. She is scheduled to appear in Macedon Town Court on December 10.
