Fire crews in Cayuga County responded to a tractor fire on Turnpike Road near Potter Road on Tuesday evening, with no damage reported to nearby structures.
According to the Cayuga/Seneca Fire Wire, the Throop Fire Department quickly deployed an engine and rescue truck, where a tractor was engulfed in flames approximately 50 feet from a residential structure.
Despite the proximity, fire officials confirmed there were no exposures, and the blaze was contained before it could threaten the home.
Throop’s command reported that water was on the fire shortly after crews arrived.
Fire investigators were dispatched to determine the cause of the blaze.
