Deputies had arrived at about 5:18 p.m. and spoke with Mitchell while trying to locate the man, according to a news release.

Investigators said they later learned Mitchell had an active State Police arrest warrant and had given the false information to conceal her identity.

Mitchell was issued an appearance ticket for Throop Town Court on the false personation charge.

Deputies then took her to Exit 40 of the New York State Thruway, where she was turned over to State Police.
