A Yates County Jail inmate has been charged with second-degree assault following an altercation that left another incarcerated individual injured. The incident occurred on November 25, with the arrest made two days later.
According to the Yates County Sheriff’s Office, Mohamed L. Diallo, an inmate at the facility, was taken into custody on November 27 at approximately 8:00 PM. Investigators determined that Diallo subjected another inmate to unwanted physical contact, resulting in injuries. The nature and severity of the injuries were not disclosed.
Deputy Garren responded to the incident and arrested Diallo, who was held for arraignment in Centralized Arraignment Part (CAP) Court the following morning. No other agencies were involved in the investigation, which remains under the jurisdiction of the Yates County Sheriff’s Office.
