A garage fire on PreEmption Road caused significant damage and temporary road closures on Saturday morning, according to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded to the scene at 2422 PreEmption Road around 11:37 a.m., where they found the garage fully engulfed in flames. The structure and its contents were a total loss. Nearby buildings also sustained damage from the blaze.
The fire prompted the closure of PreEmption Street between Packwood Road and Tincan Alley while emergency services worked to extinguish the flames. Multiple agencies, including the Oaks Corners and Geneva fire departments, responded alongside Phelps Ambulance, Finger Lakes Ambulance, and North Seneca Ambulance.
The Ontario County Fire Investigators are examining the cause of the fire, which is not believed to be suspicious at this time. No injuries have been reported, and the investigation is ongoing.
