The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office recognized Ethan Lisk, of Lodi, with the Civilian Life Saving Award during a ceremony at the Law Enforcement Center on Wednesday, November 13, 2024.
Ethan was honored for his quick-thinking actions during a medical emergency involving his grandmother on October 30. When she suffered a serious medical condition requiring immediate attention, Ethan called 911 and provided lifesaving aid until first responders arrived. Thanks to his efforts, his grandmother was transported to the hospital and has since recovered.
Sheriff Thompson presented Ethan with the award and a personalized letter, commending his bravery and composure. Ethan also received a special tour of the Law Enforcement Center and explored a Sheriff’s Office patrol vehicle alongside Deputy Babcock.
“Ethan’s actions exemplify the importance of staying calm under pressure,” said Sheriff Thompson. “We’re proud to recognize his courage and lifesaving efforts.”
