A 71-year-old man was airlifted to Strong Memorial Hospital following a single-vehicle crash in Sodus. The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports that John Chestnut of Spring Street was driving eastbound on State Route 104 when he lost control at the intersection with Maple Street.
Chestnut’s vehicle went off the roadway and collided with several trees before coming to a stop. Emergency responders, including the Sodus Fire Department and Wayne County Medivac unit WN5, provided assistance at the scene.
The extent of Chestnut’s injuries has not been disclosed, and the cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.
