Ontario County voters have one final opportunity today to cast their ballots early for the 2024 General Election. Early voting stations, available at sites in Canandaigua, Geneva, and Victor, will close at 5 p.m., offering voters a convenient alternative to Election Day lines on Tuesday.
So far, early turnout has been strong, with 15,931 voters casting ballots in person across the county’s early voting sites. Yesterday alone, 1,819 voters visited the polls, bringing the total participation close to matching early voting tallies in previous years. Party breakdowns indicate that 5,923 Democratic and Working Families voters, 6,157 Republican and Conservative voters, and 3,851 voters registered with no party or other affiliations have utilized early voting.
In addition to early in-person turnout, Ontario County election officials have issued 5,866 mail ballots, of which 4,667 have already been returned. Mail-in participation also shows active engagement, with 2,021 ballots cast by Democratic and Working Families members, 1,565 by Republicans and Conservatives, and 1,263 by unaffiliated or other party voters.
Registered voters still undecided about early voting can find open polling locations in the county online. After today, those who haven’t voted can cast their ballots on Tuesday at one of the 44 polling sites across Ontario County’s 92 election districts.
For Ontario County residents eager to have their voices heard, today’s early voting deadline is a last chance to avoid Election Day crowds.
