Early voting began over the weekend in Cayuga County, providing residents nine days to cast their ballots ahead of Election Day on November 5. Voters can access four polling locations: Clifford Park and the Fingerlakes Mall in Auburn, the Cato Municipal Building, and Moravia Town Hall. The Fingerlakes Mall site has been added to accommodate an expected increase in turnout during this presidential election year.
Early voting hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekends, noon to 8 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday, and 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. from Wednesday to Friday.
This election features high-profile races, including the presidential contest between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump, as well as state Senate and Assembly seats, congressional elections, and a statewide proposition aimed at protecting abortion rights and anti-discrimination measures in the New York state constitution.
