The Village of Montour Falls has received a $50,000 grant from the Appalachian Regional Commission to support its business mini-grant program, part of the Montour Falls Strategic Climate Smart Communities initiative. Congressman Nick Langworthy announced the funding, emphasizing the importance of small businesses in driving local economic growth.
“This grant will give our small businesses the support they need to expand and stay competitive, which strengthens our entire community,” Langworthy said. The program will assist 10 of the village’s 63 year-round businesses in making significant community improvements.
The grant will be matched by an additional $50,000 from local sources to help fund the initiative.
