Ahead of National Voter Registration Day on September 17, Governor Kathy Hochul is urging all eligible New Yorkers to register to vote by October 26 to participate in the November 5 General Election. With the election fast approaching, Governor Hochul reminded voters to rely on state and county election officials as the most trusted sources for accurate information about voting.
“National Voter Registration Day is an important opportunity to foster engagement in our democracy,” Governor Hochul said. “I encourage every eligible New Yorker to make their voice heard.”
Voters can register online, in person, or by mail through the New York State Board of Elections, and should check their registration status at voterlookup.elections.ny.gov. Early voting runs from October 26 through November 3, with Election Day set for November 5.
