Chris Buescher snapped a 37-race winless streak, capturing a dramatic victory at the Go Bowling at The Glen NASCAR Cup Series race. Buescher, who missed the playoff cut, took the checkered flag after a series of late-race cautions and a hard-fought final lap battle with Shane Van Gisbergen. The win marks Buescher’s first of the season and first win for a non-playoff driver in 2024.
Pole sitter Ross Chastain dominated much of the race, but pit strategy reshuffled the leaders in the final stage. A series of cautions, including wrecks involving William Byron, Kyle Busch, and Tyler Reddick, set up a tense overtime finish. Buescher regained the lead after bumping Van Gisbergen in the carousel, holding off a final charge.
