Jevon Henry, 43, of the Bronx, New York, was sentenced to 96 months in federal prison for possession of cocaine with intent to distribute. Henry admitted to traveling from New York City to Syracuse on January 29, 2024, carrying approximately 5.5 kilograms of cocaine in two pieces of luggage. DEA agents apprehended Henry at a local hotel before he could distribute the drugs.
United States District Judge Glenn T. Suddaby also imposed a 4-year term of supervised release, which will begin after Henry completes his prison sentence.
The case was investigated by the DEA, with assistance from the Syracuse Police Department, Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office, and Onondaga County District Attorney’s Office. Assistant U.S. Attorney Jessica N. Carbone prosecuted the case.
