A Sodus man faces felony drunk driving charges following a two-car crash in Cayuga County on Sunday.
State troopers responded to the intersection of Fleming Scipio Townline Road and Route 34B around 2:30 p.m., where they found that a 2015 Chevy, driven by 60-year-old Aurelio Catalan, had collided with a 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe operated by Tucker Burnham of King Ferry.
The impact caused Burnham’s vehicle to roll into a ditch, though he was treated at the scene and released. Catalan’s vehicle also ended up in a ditch on the east shoulder.
After being evaluated at Auburn Community Hospital, Catalan was charged with driving while intoxicated, a class E felony due to a prior conviction, and issued a traffic infraction. He is scheduled to appear in Fleming Town Court on September 10.
