Four-run sixth lifts Mets over Nationals (highlights)

The New York Mets (46-45) used a four-run sixth inning to defeat the Washington Nationals (42-51), 6-2, on Wednesday night at Citi Field. 

New York trailed 2-1 in the top of the sixth when Mark Vientos hit a game-tying RBI double. One batter later, Jose Iglesias delivered a go-ahead two-run single and later scored on a throwing error. 

Tyrone Taylor added a run-scoring triple in the eighth, and the bullpen locked it down. Jake Diekman, Danny Young, and Jose Buttó combined for 2.2 scoreless. 

Luis Severino allowed two runs on four hits in 6.1 innings to improve to 6-3.
