Clyde man had BAC nearly three-times legal limit during Waterloo stop

The Waterloo Police Department reported an arrest early on June 23 for driving while intoxicated. Ronald A. Halbritter III, 35, of Clyde, NY, was stopped at about 1:36 a.m. for an expired inspection and a broken headlight.

During the stop, officers found Halbritter to be intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of 0.23%, nearly three times the legal limit. He was charged with DWI, aggravated DWI, having an inoperable headlight, driving an uninspected vehicle, and an open container violation.

Halbritter is scheduled to appear in the Town of Fayette court at a later date.
