The owner of Jaydega 7.0, a Canandaigua smoke shop, has been permanently banned from selling cannabis in New York state. Attorney General Letitia James stated the shop was selling cannabis without a license.
Law enforcement raided the shop on Thursday, seizing a significant amount of cannabis products, including flower, edibles, and concentrates worth several hundred thousand dollars. A violation notice had been issued earlier this year.
The owner must now provide a full report of the store’s revenue for additional penalties. Though no criminal charges have been filed, the shop remains closed while the owner awaits a court hearing.
