The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Geneva man following a hit-and-run accident at Lake to Lake and Kearny roads in the town of Gorham.
Deputies arrested Matthew John McCarthy, 26, of Geneva after his vehicle broke down from damage sustained in the accident.
As result, he was found to be intoxicated and arrested for DWI, felony DWI, and leaving the scene of a property damage accident.
McCarthy was issued citations and will appear in Gorham Town Court at a later date to answer the charges.
