Crosman Corp. will end production of a specific product at its Ontario County facility, resulting in the loss of 10 jobs.
The air gun manufacturer announced the layoffs, set to begin in mid-September and conclude by year-end, in a notice filed with the state Department of Labor. The affected employees are not unionized. Crosman employs 128 workers at the site.
Crosman, known for its air guns and accessories, was recently sold by Compass Diversified to Arkansas-based Daisy Manufacturing Co. Founded in Rochester in 1923, Crosman has been at its current location since 1971.
