City of Geneva promotes Ronald Eveland to chief of police

The City of Geneva has announced the promotion of Lieutenant Ronald Eveland to Chief of Police. Chosen for his leadership and community values, Chief Eveland will assume his new role on June 17, 2024.

A native of Geneva and a Geneva High School graduate, Eveland served six years in the U.S. Air Force before joining law enforcement. He is active in local volunteer work and various community organizations.

“I am honored and excited to be selected for this position,” said Chief Eveland. “I promise to lead the department with professionalism and dedication to provide the best quality police services to our community.”
