Following Wells College’s announcement of its upcoming closure, the Middle States Commission on Higher Education has approved teach-out agreements with 20 institutions to ensure students can complete their education.

The approved schools include Manhattanville University, Wells’ preferred partner, along with Alfred University, Binghamton University, Ithaca College, and several SUNY campuses.

However, decisions on agreements with Albion College, Beloit College, Hobart and William Smith Colleges, and Roanoke College are pending further review, according to reporting this week by The Citizen.

Wells College is set to close by June 30, while on probation and without prior approval. The College will have to submit updated plans by June 5.
