A two-car crash at the intersection of Bath Road and Second Milo Road resulted in serious injuries for one driver and minor injuries for another, according to Yates County Sheriff’s Deputies.
At approximately 3:50 p.m., deputies, along with Penn Yan Fire and Ambulance, Yates EMS, and New York State Police, responded to the scene. Both vehicles were found heavily damaged in a ditch at the southeast corner of the intersection.
Jeanette C. Kegresse, 28, of Himrod, was extricated from her vehicle and airlifted by Mercy Flight to Strong Memorial Hospital with serious face and internal injuries. Katherine H. Roehlke, 64, of Elmira, sustained foot and hand injuries and was taken to Soldiers and Sailors Hospital by Penn Yan Ambulance.
The cause of the crash is currently under investigation.
