No serious injuries were reported after a car crashed into the side of the Rite Aid store in the village of Penn Yan late Wednesday morning.
Penn Yan Fire and Ambulance crews responded to the scene around 11:40 a.m. The vehicle suffered front-end damage, but the building’s exterior remained largely unscathed. Inside, employees reported a loud bang, causing some makeup displays to fall.
The driver was taken to Soldiers and Sailors Hospital for chest pain. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
